A man has been arrested and charged following a three-month-long investigation into the supply of methamphetamine near a school in Blenheim.
Police said a 41-year-old man has been charged with offering to supply methamphetamine and selling cannabis. Further charges were expected, police said.
The arrest came after police on Wednesday morning executed a search warrant at a Whitney St property as part of Operation DES, which focused on suspected methamphetamine dealing near the school.
Later on Wednesday morning, police also executed a second search warrant in the suburb of Springlands which was related to the man's offending.
Police said during the warrants they seized cannabis and items related to methamphetamine.
The man has been remanded in custody and will appear in Blenheim District Court on Thursday.
"Police are committed to helping protect the Marlborough community from drug harm," a spokesperson said. "Individuals involved in this offending profit from the destruction and social harm that methamphetamine causes, with no regard for those they have affected."
Anyone who has concerns about criminal activity in their community is urged to contact the police by calling 111 or 105.
People can also report information to their local police station or to Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
