Police are investigating after a petrol station is the latest victim of Auckland's ram-raid wave.
Police said in a statement the incident was reported to have taken place at around 2:35am on Wednesday involving a stolen vehicle.
"A stolen vehicle was used to gain entry to the store, where multiple offenders have entered the store and taken a number of items," the statement said.
"The offenders have then fled the scene in a second vehicle before Police arrived. There are no reports of any injuries."
Footage from the scene shows the side windows and the concrete block front wall destroyed with not even the bollards outside enough to prevent the attack.
Police are making enquiries into the incident, including reviewing CCTV footage.
"Anyone with information about this matter is asked to contact Police on 105, quoting file number 220511/9263, or you can contact Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
The Government is considering what can be done about a spike in ram raids, with an announcement expected in the next few weeks.
Deputy Prime Minister Grant Robertson said a plan involving partial funding for bollards and other security measures will be announced in the next week or two.
"The Government can carry a part of the cost, potentially quite a large part of the cost, of installation of those," he said.
The Government has previously helped fund about 1000 fog cannons for shop owners, but this time, it's looking at bollards - once it's figured out the local bylaws.
"Whether there are alternatives to bollards because of that, or some other reason - but that is our intention, to provide that kind of support," Robertson said.
