Parents received an alert at 9:22am on Friday morning about the lockdown and were told not to contact the school, as it could distract the students.
A police spokesperson said they are at Tawa College after reports of a firearms incident at around 9.20am on Friday morning.The school has placed itself into lockdown as a precaution, and police staff are investigating.A police spokesperson says at this time police don’t believe there is any threat to anyone.Tawa College went into lockdown earlier this week after a stabbing incident, where one person was hospitalised.
