Tawa College lockdown lifted after reports of firearms incident

Tawa College is out of lockdown after reports of a firearms incident at the Wellington school.

Police responded to the incident around 9:20 am but said in an update they don't believe there is any threat to anyone at this stage.

At just after 10:00 am, Tawa College put out a statement on the school website.

"Tawa College lockdown is now complete we will update the community later today."

This is the second time in a week Tawa College has been in lockdown after a stabbing incident on Tuesday afternoon where one person was hospitalised.
