Three people, at least one of whom was armed with a gun, have robbed an Auckland McDonald's in the early hours of Sunday.
Police said officers were called at about 2:50am to the address on Cavendish Dr in Papatoetoe.
The three robbers got away in a vehicle after smashing a window, pointing a gun at a staff member and stealing cash.
A police investigation is underway.
Robberies have been reported throughout Auckland recently. On Saturday, two youths were charged for allegedly ram-raiding a store in Pukekohe before fleeing from police.
On Friday, a Michael Hill jeweller was hit in Takapuna in broad daylight - with footage showing two thieves smashing the store's counters before making their getaway past shocked witnesses.
