Police are investigating after thieves smashed their way into two stores in LynnMall on Tuesday.
Authorities were called to the west Auckland mall at 5:50am after reports of a break-in.
The thieves managed to steal sunglasses and jewellery before fleeing in multiple cars.
In a statement on Wednesday, police said they are making enquiries into the thefts and reviewing CCTV to try and identify those responsible.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 105 or Crime Stoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
It comes as Auckland grapples with a crime wave with several ram-raid burglaries and gang-related shootings over the past month.
The increase in crime is causing concern among business owners with Dairy and Business Association chair Sunny Kaushal telling AM last week some are thinking about buying guns.
"It's very hard to run a business in New Zealand at the moment because the state is failing to provide them security and safety," Kaushal told AM.
"I can tell you 30 percent of the business owners who call me are asking how to get a gun licence. It's become that serious because if the police and authorities are not able to save them they have to save themselves."
