One person has been hospitalised following a stabbing at WestCity Mall in Henderson, Auckland.
Footage shared with Newshub shows several screens surrounding the front of a shop and several security and police staff guarding the scene.
A police spokesperson told Newshub emergency services were called to the mall at 3:40pm on Friday.
"One person has sustained moderate injuries and has been taken to hospital."
The spokesperson added the victim sustained a stab wound.
A shop owner told Newshub the altercation involved five people and one person had been stabbed.
A shopping centre spokesperson told Newshub that four people were involved in the incident.
"Security guards present at the time arrived swiftly to defuse the situation."
They added those involved exited the shopping centre.
