A person has died after crashing into a parked car in New Plymouth.
Police said in a statement emergency services were called to a crash on Liardet St at about 6:55am on Saturday.
"A car had crashed into a parked car," police said.
"Medical assistance was given, however the driver sadly died at the scene."
The road was closed for a short period but is now open, police said.
