A Wellington liquor store owner is in shock after his shop was ram-raided in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Police said in a statement there was a burglary to the Thirsty Liquor Store on Island Bay Parade at around 1.50am.
Footage from the ram-raid shows a white vehicle reversing into the liquor store, smashing through the entrance before knocking over a fridge.
Two people sprint into the store and take a number of items from around the shop.
Shop Owner Chetan Rattan told Newshub he's in total shock over the incident.
He said the ram-raid has caused extensive damage and it's going to take at least a week to clean up the damage.
Rattan said it's the last thing he ever thought would happen.
Police said they are investigating.
