Police said an 18-year-old man was charged with burglary and unlawfully getting into a motor vehicle and a 25-year-old man was charged with burglary, breaching bail, unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and driving while suspended.

Footage from the scene shows the front door to the store damaged with shattered glass and broken bottles strewn across the entrance.

Inside the store shows shelves and bottles knocked over while the drawers have been stripped of cigarettes.

Two other burglaries took place on Saturday morning with a fruit store being ram-raided at just 5am on Apirana Ave in Glen Innes, while a dairy was also ram-raided in St Heliers just after 4am.

Footage from the scene of the burglary in Glen Innes shows the entrance severely damaged.

Newshub has approached police for comment about the ram-raids in Glen Innes and St Heliers.

The latest incidents come two days after a burglary at the Michael Hill jewellery store in Takapuna, which saw five offenders break into the shop and a liquor store in Mission Bay was ram-raided.

On Wednesday, a Royal Oak liquor store was ram-raided for the third time in three weeks.

An Auckland liquor store was also ram-raided on Tuesday with thieves smashing into the entrance and then stealing alcohol and a box of peanut slabs.

Meanwhile, on Monday, thieves smashed into a dairy in Penrose before making off with stolen goods in a Toyota Wish.

Documents recently revealed to Newshub showed a dramatic spike in ram-raids.

In the first six months of this year, there had been 254 ram raids - a 518 percent increase from the first six months of 2018.

A police report analysing a year of ram raids found 76 percent were committed by youths under 17 years old and 17 percent were under 13 years old.
