A person has been arrested after fleeing police and driving "erratically", which resulted in a pedestrian being hit and injured in south Auckland.
Police said in a statement they were alerted to a vehicle driving "erratically" on Leyton Way in the Manukau city centre at around 11:30pm on Friday.
Police said one person was moderately injured and taken to hospital, while the driver was later taken into custody in Manukau.
Footage from the scene at the underground carpark at Westfield Manukau City shows a police car rammed into a side of a black four-wheel-drive Mitsubishi while a second vehicle - a black Audi - has suffered major damage to the front of the car and the airbags inside have been deployed.
Police are still seeking one person in relation to this incident and are making enquiries to locate them.
