The Freedom and Rights Coalition (FARC) leader Brian Tamaki had eggs thrown at him while he led his anti-Government protest on Tuesday.
Footage captured by Newshub shows Tamaki leading protesters down Lambton Quay before a couple of eggs came flying down from the buildings above him, landing in front of his feet.
While the eggs missed Tamaki, his supporters were quick to protect their leader, using paper to shield any further flying eggs from hitting him.
Members of the Tamaki-led FARC group travelled in convoys from across Aotearoa to protest for a snap election.
