It's a weeknight. You've just picked the kids up from sports practice, your partner has just got back from work. You're all exhausted and hungry.

After a busy day, the prospect of planning and cooking a tasty dinner for the family that is both nutritious and tasty can be stressful - particularly when there are fussy eaters to consider.

At these times, takeaways can become a tempting option. But they're rarely healthy and, with the cost of living soaring, can be a real strain on the budget.

Thankfully, mealtimes needn't be so hard. For years, Sealord has been trying to make the healthy goodness of seafood accessible to everyone - and that's exactly what they've achieved with the release of their latest dinner option.

Made from hoki, Sealord Fish Burgers are a real crowd-pleaser that are speedy to prepare, taking just 20 minutes from freezer to plate. That's a quick turnaround when you're trying to juggle a busy life with maximising time with the family.

Crucially, it's also a meal that'll put a smile on everyone's face - even those who are normally the most vocal critics of your cooking.

"Dinner times can be tough for parents, especially when there are fussy eaters. Burgers for dinner often mean kids can choose what goes into the burger, so it cuts down on those battles," explains Melissa Butler, Sealord's Head of Marketing and Innovation.

"Everyone in the family has different views on what makes a great dinner - what's healthy enough, tasty enough - but burgers are almost universally liked, making it a dinner everyone can agree on."

Your kids can put their own burger together, picking and choosing the fillings they like - meaning it's easy to make it to their taste and to use up whatever odds and ends you’ve got floating around in the fridge.

Part of the appeal too is that while Fish Burgers feel like takeaways, they're actually a much healthier alternative.

While getting a burger from a fast food joint could easily involve getting add-ons like fries, sugary soft drinks or desserts, at home there are fewer temptations, so it’s simple to be healthy without compromising on taste.

Plus Sealord's Fish Burgers are a good source of omega 3 and protein, and low in saturated fat - so there are plenty of nutritional benefits.

While designed to fit inside a bun, at 115g the Fish Burgers are larger than Sealord's normal fish fillets so are versatile enough to be paired with vegetables or a salad if that's more your style.

Easy, nutritious and tasty, Sealord Fish Burgers are now available in Countdown nationwide, and selected New World and PAK'nSAVE stores.
