An update has been provided by the police after an incident forced 80 people out of their homes in Levin on Thursday.
A man barricaded himself inside a property on Bledisloe St on Thursday afternoon, with police saying he was threatening self-harm.
The incident was ongoing on Friday.
Manawatū Area Commander Insp Sarah Stewart and Mayor Bernie Wanden spoke to media with an update.
