Driving in the rain is never easy for motorists, especially if you're stuck in traffic, but one driver apparently decided it was too much for them and began driving the opposite way into oncoming traffic.
The driver went the wrong way on south Auckland's Drury on-ramp at around 8am on Monday.
Gareth Walker, who had filmed the dangerous driving, told Newshub the traffic stopped for about a minute and the driver did a seven-point turn to try and turn around, but no cars were moving to let him through and then they drove out the wrong way.
"I was surprised. I didn't think that [they] were actually going to go for it," Walker told Newshub.
Walker added other motorists were tooting their horns at the driver as they continued to drive the wrong way.
The dangerous driver continued down an on-ramp to try and go a different way and Walker said the closest exit was about several hundred metres away.
"I don't think he was setting a very good example," Walker said.
