A search is continuing for a missing woman last seen at Te Horo Beach on the Kāpiti Coast late last month.

Breanna Muriwai, 22, was last seen at the beach near the car parking area on Sea Rd, at 4am on August 28.

It is believed Muriwai may have asked someone in the Te Horo Beach area to use their phone that morning. A fresh appeal for information has now been issued by the police.

"We would like to identify three people walking on Te Horo Beach just before dawn on Sunday the 28th," said Det Sgt Peter Vine, of Horowhenua.

"The three people interacted with two male associates of Breanna who were driving along the beach looking for her."

Vine said it was also possible Muriwai was with friends.

"We would ask them or her to make contact to let us know she is safe," he said in a statement on Tuesday.

"As time goes on, police and Breanna's family are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare."

Anyone with sightings of Muriwai was asked to call the police on 105, quoting file number 220829/5320.

"We are keeping an open mind as to where Breanna is and what may have happened but just urge anyone with information to contact police as soon as possible," Vine said.
