New Zealand's official state memorial service to mark the death of Queen Elizabeth II has been held in Wellington, beginning with a nationwide moment of silence.
About 600 dignitaries attended including politicians, past and present Governor-Generals and iwi representatives.

3:07pm - That concludes New Zealand's state memorial service for Queen Elizabeth - one that reiterated the connection between the late monarch and Aotearoa.
3:06pm - The Prime Minister and the Governor-General are leading the official party from the cathedral.
3:04pm - The cathedral is preparing for the departure of the official service party, accompanied by the official St Paul's choir.
The official party will leave in the reverse order of arrival, with the Governor-General and Prime Minister leading the way.
Eight bells rang in the background to indicate mourning.
2:54pm - The choir is now performing God Save The King.

2:42pm - Dame Cindy says with each of her 10 visits to New Zealand, the Queen left an "incredible" mark.
"I am honoured to have served as the sixteenth Governor-General in Her Majesty's reign as our Queen and to have carried out constitutional duties on her behalf at the heart of our democracy."
2:40pm - Governor-General Dame Cindy Kiro, speaking at the service, says Elizabeth II becoming Queen was the "beginning of a special and enduring bond".
"Her Majesty and Prince Philip's first Royal Tour to New Zealand the following year captured the hearts and imagination of the country.
"As Head of the Realm of New Zealand, Her Majesty held dear the islands and peoples of Tokelau, Niue, and Kūki 'Āirani.
"She also carried a deep and abiding understanding of the relationship created by the Treaty of Waitangi - and recognised the ongoing need for reconciliation, healing and peace."
2:35pm - St Mary's College head girl Erana Ngarimu is now addressing the service.
2:25pm - Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is now speaking.
She is reading an excerpt from The Royal Visit to New Zealand, which talks about the departure of the Queen and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh after their first visit here in the summer of 1953/54.
2:13pm - Excerpts have been read from the bible as the reverends say goodbye to the Queen.
2:09pm - God Defend New Zealand is now being performed.
2:05pm - It's estimated about 500 people are present at the Parliament grounds to watch the service.
2:03pm - New Zealand has just observed a national minute of silence.
1:49pm - The Queen's flag is about to be paraded by the New Zealand Defence Force for the last time.
1:49pm - Dame Cindy and Ardern have now taken their places in the cathedral.
1:43pm - Governor-General Dame Cindy Kiro has now arrived, greeting Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern at the entrance.
1:41pm - Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern, her fiancée Clarke Gayford and their daughter Neve have arrived at the service. Gayford was carrying a buzzy bee backpack (presumably Neve's).
1:36pm - St Paul's Cathedral has a strong connection to the Queen. On her first visit to New Zealand in 1953, she laid the foundation stone for the cathedral

1:21pm - Members of the public are gathering on the Parliament lawn to view the memorial service.
One woman told Newshub's Alexa Cook she wanted to be there to respect the mahi the Queen had done for so long.
1:18pm - Willie Apiata has arrived at the service, as well as former Prime Minister Sir Bill English.
1:07pm - Reflecting on the Queen's first tour of New Zealand in 1953, historian Jock Phillips says it was "the greatest public occasion in New Zealand history".
"Something likely three-quarters of the population turned out," he says. "Some people saw the Queen 30 times. I, myself, saw the Queen 10 times."
1:06pm - Three former Prime Ministers are in attendance at the service, among them Sir Jim Bolger.
12:55pm - Members of the public have been invited to watch the service from Parliament's lawn. For those outside of Wellington, you can watch it live in the video above from 1pm.
12:40pm - Today marks the last day the royal flag with the Queen's initials will be flown in New Zealand.
12:25pm - Every recipient of the Order of New Zealand, the country's highest honour, have been invited to the state memorial service.
12:10pm - During her memorial address, Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will reflect on the Queen's first visit to New Zealand when she first became our monarch.
11:54am - Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern arrived in New Zealand from US on Monday morning to attend the service. Ardern had been in New York for the UN General Assembly.
11:45am - Speaking from Parliament, Newshub's Tia McDougall says a sombre service is expected.
"Dame Cindy Kiro will open the service - she'll give her address reflecting on Queen Elizabeth's time as our monarch and also reflect on her personal relationship with New Zealand.
"Following that, the Prime Minister will give an address as well."
11:30am - At the weekend, King Charles was pictured with his official red box in which the British monarch receives government documents.
The locked red despatch box is an image strongly associated with the British monarchy and one that the late Queen Elizabeth was regularly pictured with.
