A person has died and another has been taken into custody after an "incident" at a Hamilton property on Saturday morning.
Police said in a statement officers were called an address on Roy St in Nawton at about 11am.
Det Insp Daryl Smith said ambulance staff treated one person at the scene but they later died.
Another person was taken into custody, Smith said.
An investigation was underway, he added.
