Police have swarmed Auckland's St Lukes Mall following reports of a burglary.
They received multiple reports just after 5pm on Tuesday of an incident.
A spokesperson said it's understood a group of offenders entered a store within the complex, smashed cabinets, and then took some items before fleeing the scene.
A vehicle believed to have been involved was found a short distance away.
A Newshub reporter at the scene inside the mall said there is a heavy police presence outside the Stewart Dawsons jewellery store. There is glass shattered on the ground and it appears multiple cabinets were smashed.
Police said there are no injuries to report and no arrests have been made at this stage.
"Our enquiries are in their very early stages, anyone with information is asked to contact Police via 105, quoting job number P051976791," they said.
"Information can also be provided via Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111."
