Video has emerged online of a brazen daylight smash and grab at Auckland's St Lukes Mall.
Emergency services were called to the Westfield Shopping Centre just after 5pm on Tuesday after a group of offenders stormed the mall's Stewart Dawsons jewellery store.
The video, posted on TikTok, shows the group smashing several glass cabinets before fleeing the scene with stolen goods.
No arrests have been made at this stage and no one was injured during the incident, police said.
Smash and grab robberies and ram raids have spiked by a dramatic 400 percent in the past five years.
Seventy-six of the offenders caught committing such crimes were aged 18 or under, RNZ reported earlier this year.
