In a statement, police said they received a report of an alarm activated at a liquor store on Titirangi Road where officers found the front window of the shop broken in.

"Further enquiries revealed another liquor store across the road was also burgled."
Police said it's not confirmed if the two burglaries are linked but added enquiries are ongoing.
Earlier in the morning, it's understood officers were called to reports of a burglary at NZ Fruit and Spices store on George St in Papatoetoe, just before 1.30am.
"Offenders in two vehicles have forced entry through the store's front roller doors," a police spokesperson said.
"They have proceeded to take a number of items, before fleeing in one of the vehicles."
The spokesperson said the vehicle left behind was stolen and enquiries into burglary are ongoing.
Shortly before 2am, the Ormiston Town Centre was smashed into by offenders - where thieves, once inside, targeted the 2degrees store.
Police said received a report of a burglary on Ormiston Road in Flat Bush at around 2:55am.
"The offender has broken the glass windows of a storefront and taken items from inside.
A police spokesperson said officers attended but the person had left the scene.
"Enquiries are ongoing to ascertain what was taken, and locate the offender," the spokesperson said.
Later in the morning, police were called to Glass Rd in Mt Roskill after reports of a burglary just before 5am.
Police said they received a report of an activated alarm at an address on Glass Road, which officers attended, but the offenders had fled in a vehicle when they arrived.
A police spokesperson said it's understood the vehicle was used in an attempt to force entry into the store and enquiries are ongoing.
It's reported thieves smashed a window and stole several items.
The latest burglaries come as the Police Association Conference gets underway in Wellington, with the organisation's president calling for increased funding and an "all of Government" approach.
"Under the likes of the Ministry of Health, MSD, Oranga Tamariki, police are the 24/7 Government department that is relied on to deliver services they're not funded for or proficient in," association president Chris Cahill told the conference.
It comes just two days after a security guard was injured by thieves during a burglary at Auckland's Westgate shopping centre.
