A police investigation is underway after an "incident" in the Napier suburb of Taradale that saw a man injured.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Balmoral St at about 7:10am.
A police spokesperson said officers are responding to the incident and investigating.
"At this stage, it is unclear exactly how the injuries were caused."
The spokesperson said a scene examination is underway.
