Police are investigating after responding to four burglaries in Auckland overnight as the latest crime wave grips the city.
In a statement, police said the burglaries occurred in Mission Bay, St Johns and Parnell while enquiries are underway to determine whether they're all linked.
Officers descended on Mission Bay just after 2am on Tuesday where two stores were broken into.
A police spokesperson said a glass door was smashed at a convenience store on Patterson Avenue, with offenders stealing items from inside.
"Another store nearby, on Tamaki Drive, was targeted minutes later with glass doors being smashed. Offenders then fled the area in a vehicle," the spokesperson said.
Just over an hour later, police said a liquor store on Felton Matthew Avenue in St Johns was ram-raided - with footage showing the store's entrance completely destroyed.
A short time later, emergency services were called to Parnell Rd where a gift shop window was smashed in, with the offenders understood to be trying to gain access to a neighbouring dairy.
Police said a window was smashed, but while inside the store, the offenders have been disturbed and subsequently fled the area in a vehicle.
Police said they sighted the vehicle in the Ōrākei area travelling at speed but did not pursue.
"At this stage, it has not been located, however enquiries remain ongoing to locate the vehicle and offenders involved in these incidents," the spokesperson said.
"Anyone with information about those involved are asked to contact police."
These latest burglaries come a day after four food outlet were targeted across Auckland on Monday.
Five youths were arrested for two burglaries near Auckland Airport while an investigation continues into the other two break-ins.
