There's a large police presence in Auckland's New Lynn after a reported stabbing on Monday.
Photos show officers and an ambulance on the road outside LynnMall.
Police told Newshub they were called to an incident on Great North Rd in New Lynn at about 1:30pm.
"A woman was injured and transported to hospital in a serious condition," a spokesperson told Newshub.
"A man is in custody and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
"Motorists in the area may experience delays."
