On Saturday morning, frontline emergency workers are getting out of their comfort zone to raise money for Gumboot Friday.
They're joining forces from Defence Force, Police, Fire and Emergency, Civil Defence and St John who know all too well what it is like on the frontline dealing with people with mental health issues.
Senior Constable Glenn Dawson from Christchurch Police spoke to AM about the fundraiser.
