Samoan rugby league fans are out in force celebrating their country's stunning 27-26 victory over England in the semi-finals at the Rugby League World Cup on Sunday morning.
Parades have been held all across Auckland on Sunday, with crowds singing and dancing to celebrate their team in Manurewa, Ōtara, Māngere, Remuera and the North Shore.
The fans have been seen flying Samoan flags, playing music and tooting, with celebratory fireworks also being let off.
Counties Manukau Police has asked footy fans to "keep the celebrations golden" in a post to Facebook amid the festivities.
"Crowds are out and celebrating Samoa's stunning win over England, but police are reminding revellers to be respectful while partying - English tears are the only ones we need today."
Large crowds gathered in Ōtara and Māngere, which is "creating congestion and issues for other road users", the police spokesperson added.
"We've had reports of people celebrating in ways that create a risk to them and others, such as riding in an unsafe manner and waving large flags while driving."
Police are urging league fans to keep their celebrations controlled and safe.
"Save the heartbreak for [England coach] Shaun Wane and his side, and make sure your partying doesn't put yourself or others in harm's way," they said.
"If you're on the road today, you can check the NZTA website for updated information on traffic delays."
It's a stunning turnaround from Samoa, who was well and truly beaten by England 60-6 just four weeks ago in the group stages.
The victory will see Samoa take on Australia, who beat New Zealand in the other semi-final, in the grand final next Sunday at Old Trafford in Manchester.
The latest celebrations come after police were forced to disperse a large crowd in south Auckland last weekend after rugby league fans started letting off fireworks and stood on the roofs and bonnets of moving vehicles.
A Newshub camera operator said around 1000 people were present at the gathering in the Māngere town centre.
A day later, fans again descended on the town centres in Māngere and Ōtara where footy fans lit fireworks and tooted their horns.
