Scrub fire in Parnell, Auckland, thought to be sparked by fireworks

Emergency services have responded to a scrub fire in the Auckland suburb of Parnell on Sunday morning.

Newshub understands the fire was caused by fireworks.

Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) said they were called to the fire on Gladstone Rd above the railway tracks at 12:32am. 

They responded with six fire trucks but have now left the scene. 

FENZ said there were no injuries or damage reported because of the fire. 

Police also attended the incident.
