A body has been recovered after a canoe capsized in a Christchurch lake.
The incident occurred at around 6.50pm on Sunday, when two people were canoeing on Lake Roto Kohatu in the city's north when it flipped.
One person was rescued, while the other was missing overnight.
In an update at about 12:30pm on Monday, police said they have since recovered the body of the missing canoeist.
"Police are working to support the family of the canoeist," police said in a statement
