A person has been injured after a car burst into flames on an Auckland highway on Friday evening.
Police said a crash involved two cars just north of the Hillsborough Road off-ramp on State Highway 20 at about 11:15pm.
Police said one car hit a barrier and possibly hit another vehicle and one of them caught fire after the crash.
Two people reportedly suffered minor injuries, police said.
Footage sent to Newshub shows the car in flames up on the side barrier of the highway.
The footage also shows flames on the road.
People passing by in vehicles can be heard saying, "Oh my god", as a small explosion within the car occurs.
The crash seems to have taken down a light pole and damaged signs.
