One person has died following a crash in Northland overnight.
A police spokesperson said officers were called to a crash on Kotata Rise in Port Whangārei at 10.10pm on Saturday.
Three other people in the car suffered minor injuries.
A police investigation into the circumstances of the crash is underway.
It brings the holiday road toll to two after another fatal crash on Saturday.
