Police have arrested two people after an aggravated robbery at a military surplus store on Karangahape Road.

At around 4pm on Sunday, two men entered the Army and Outdoors NZ store, and allegedly assaulted a staff member while making off with items.

In an update on Sunday night, police said a 28-year-old man has been arrested and charged with assault with intent to injure and aggravated robbery.

A 42-year-old man has also been arrested on a charge of receiving the stolen property. Both are due to appear in Auckland District Court on Monday.

Meanwhile, a third man allegedly involved in the aggravated robbery hasn't been found and police are continuing to hunt for him.

CCTV footage shows him wearing a white hat, black hoodie and dark pants.

"Anyone that recognises this man or has information that may assist Police in their enquiries is encouraged to contact Police on 105 and quote 221204/4831," a police spokesperson said.
