Another person has died following a water-related incident in the north of Auckland.
Police say the incident occurred at Anchor Bay on the Tāwharanui Peninsula, and was reported to emergency services shortly before 2pm.
Medical assistance was provided, but the person died.
The death will be referred to the coroner.
It is the sixth water-related death in the Auckland Region since Friday.
Two people died after getting into trouble in the water at Piha last night and another person died in a water-related incident at an address in Takapuna yesterday morning.
On Friday, one person died after getting into difficulty near Takapuna's Narrow Neck Beach and another died following a water-related incident near Big Manly Beach on the Whangaparaoa Peninsula.
