A person who was stabbed in the Coromandel has been discharged from hospital.
At about 6:45am on Sunday, police said they received a report of someone with stab wounds following "an altercation" on Rings Road in Coromandel town.
The people involved were known to each other, police added.
The Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust said it flew the stabbed man, who is in his 30s, to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition. Te Whatu Ora Waikato confirmed on Monday he had been discharged from hospital.
Police said enquiries into the stabbing are ongoing.
