WellingtonNZ is on the hunt for Patty the pigeon, a bronze pigeon sculpture stolen from Wellington's iconic Plimmer Steps.
"Have you seen Patty flying around," said WellingtonNZ in a desperate tweet to locate Patty.
WellingtonNZ said Patty isn't trained as a homing pigeon, so they need the community's help to "bring our bird home".
If Patty is returned, the returnee will receive a Burger Wellington voucher worth $100.
But if the person who is holding Patty hostage would prefer a contactless drop-off, WellingtonNZ said no questions will be asked if it's returned to their office or Wellington's i-SITE.
