Two young teenagers have been arrested after an aggravated robbery at a Rotorua service station last month.
At 7am on January 31 three offenders armed with weapons broke into a service station on Edmund Road and stole a number of items.
They fled the scene in a stolen vehicle which has since been recovered.
Following a police investigation, two of the offenders were found and arrested.
A 14-year-old male has been charged with aggravated robbery and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, and a 13-year-old male has been charged with aggravated robbery.
They are due to appear in Rotorua Youth Court.
"Police is working hard to ensure those responsible for causing harm in our communities are held accountable for their actions," a police spokesperson said.
"The investigation into this incident is ongoing and we cannot rule out the possibility of further charges or arrests."
