The two teenagers accused of murdering a man in Beach Haven have both entered not-guilty pleas through their counsel in Auckland High Court today.
Joshuah Tasi, 28, of Beach Haven was killed after an altercation earlier this month.
The two teenage boys - aged 17 and 14 - were arrested in the Far North a day later and charged with the murder of the 28-year-old.
Around a dozen friends and supporters of the two youths were in the public gallery as the pair appeared in court separately on Wednesday for the second time via audio-visual link. Two communication assistants were appointed for both defendants by the court.
The defendants' names and identifying details are suppressed until a separate hearing in the High Court next month.
The trial date is set for May 13, 2024.
