Gender activist Posie Parker has been spotted at Auckland Airport after her rally was shut down by protest on Saturday.
Parker - real name Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull - was doused in tomato juice and forced to leave the stage before being escorted to a police car through a hostile crowd.
Later on Saturday night Parker was sighted at Auckland Airport surrounded by police officers.
Parker was reportedly checking in to an international flight, however wouldn't confirm her movements to media.
However she remains active on Twitter, where she said she feared for her life in the chaos.
"I genuinely thought if I fell to the floor I would never get up again, my children would lose their mother and my husband would lose his wife," she tweeted.
"My security saved my life today, no words can express my gratitude."
A second rally was planned for Wellington on Sunday, but in the aftermath it was unclear whether it would go ahead.
A statement from Speak Up For Women said the Let Women Speak gathering in Wellington has been cancelled.
"Keen-Minshull's security team have advised her that they cannot keep her safe from mob violence and the police have declined to do so," a spokesperson said.
Parker wouldn't confirm her event cancellation to RNZ, saying she would release an update on whether it would go ahead on Sunday morning.
It appears it won't go ahead after all.
