The entire front wall of an Auckland superette appears to have been destroyed in a ram raid early on Saturday morning.
Police have confirmed that around 5am there was a report of a break-in at a commercial premise on Swanson Rd, Ranui in Auckland.
"A stolen vehicle is reported to have reversed into the front of the superette," a spokesperson said.
They said an unknown number of offenders entered the store, took items, and then fled in another vehicle.
"Enquiries are ongoing to identify and locate the offender(s) and exactly what was taken."
Images of the scene show the superette no longer has a facade. Bars that were meant to protect the store have come down, while items from inside are now strewn across the front pavement.
