Auckland emergency services are attending a serious crash involving multiple vehicles on the busy intersection of Mt Eden and Peary Roads.
In a statement, a police spokesperson said they were called to the scene in Mount Eden at about 5:05pm on Wednesday.
It's unclear how many people are involved, but police said there are serious injuries.
Pictures captured by Newshub show the front of two cars destroyed with pieces from the vehicles strewn across the road.
Police have closed the road and diversions are in place. They are warning drivers to keep away from the area near the intersection.
