Christchurch police have been busy overnight with a spree of smash-and-grabs and ram raids throughout the city.
The first burglary occurred at a shop on Port Hills Road in the suburb of Hillsborough at 12:43am.
Police said thieves ram-raided the store to gain entry and the vehicle was left at the scene.
A police spokesperson said vape products were stolen and the offenders fled in a white Mazda Demio.
"Enquiries are ongoing and a scene examination will be conducted," the spokesperson said.
About 20 minutes later, a service station on Woodham Road in the suburb of Woolston was burgled.
Police said it appears vape products were stolen from the store and officers will conduct a scene examination.
The recently opened Smith City store on Tower Street in the suburb of Hornby was targeted by thieves at 5:20am.
Footage from the scene shows a smashed window with glass shattered and scattered around the inside and outside of the store.
Police said it does not appear a vehicle was used to gain entry and a scene examination will be conducted.
"Enquiries are ongoing including determining what was stolen," a police spokesperson said.
