Thieves used a vehicle early on Wednesday morning to ram their way through the entrance of a vape store in central Hamilton, in the latest brazen burglary on a small New Zealand retailer.
Police said an "unknown number" of thieves made off with products before fleeing the store in Victoria St at about 5:20am.
Images from the scene, supplied to Newshub, showed a smashed front door with glass and vape products scattered all over the ground.
There's already been a series of burglaries across New Zealand this week. Dairies, service stations and other retail stores have all been targets.
In the first two months of 2023, there were 58 ram raids across New Zealand after last year's high of 519.
