Two teenagers have been arrested after an aggravated robbery in Waitematā North.
On Thursday Police responded to reports of a robbery at the Hibiscus Coast Bus Station.
Two teenage boys allegedly approached two people and pulled out a weapon, theatening them into handing over personal belongings.
Police arrived quickly and caught both of the alleged offenders a short distance away and took them into custody.
"Some of the victims' personal belongings, including both pairs of the victims' shoes, were located nearby and returned," a police spokesperson told Newshub.
"Police are currently working to recover some other items to reunite them with the victims.
"We understand these types of incidents are incredibly distressing and Police have no tolerance for this type of behaviour."
Two teens, aged 14 and 16, will appear in the North Shore Youth Court on Wednesday April 26.
Police are aware from the Waitematā North community that groups of youth have been meeting in town centres and around public transport hubs.
"As part of this, Police have been patrolling in the area so that we can engage with the community, however this isn't something we can solve on our own," said Waitematā North Area Prevention Manager Senior Sergeant Roger Small.
"Police rely on our communities to be our eyes and ears and we encourage anyone who is aware of potential issues or offending, to report it to Police so we can identify those involved and take the appropriate action.
"If an incident is happening now, please call Police on 111."
