Armed police officers have surrounded a property in west Auckland overnight where it's understood negotiations with a person inside took place.
Officers could be seen at the property on Eric Gifford Dr in Ranui holding guns and carrying riot shields.
Members of the dog squad and St John were also present.
The exact nature of the stand-off remains unclear and AM has approached police for comment.
