Two men appeared in the Auckland District Court on Friday afternoon following a road rage shooting of a teenage girl on the city's St Luke's Rd earlier this week.
On Tuesday night, a 15-year-old girl, who had been travelling in a minivan with her family, was taken to Auckland Hospital with a serious injury from a gun being fired.
Another person in the minivan also received moderate injuries.
Two men, aged 25 and 26 years old, are jointly charged with wounding with reckless disregard as well as injuring with reckless disregard.
The 26-year-old man is also charged with unlawful possession of ammunition.
Both were on Friday granted interim name suppression at the court appearance and are yet to enter any plea.
They have been remanded in custody and will reappear in court later this month.
Police said the investigation into the shooting is ongoing and further charges or arrests aren't being ruled out.
