A person is seriously injured after being rescued from a house fire on Auckland's North Shore in the early hours of Monday morning.
Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ) told Newshub they were alerted to the blaze on Girrahween Drive at 5:45am in the suburb of Totara Vale, with multiple people inside.
FENZ arrived at the blaze five minutes later, where there was still one person inside the house.
Fire crews rescued that person at 6am, but police said they were transported to hospital in a serious condition.
Hato Hone St John told Newshub they responded to the blaze with two ambulances and two rapid response vehicles.
"We assessed and treated one patient in a critical condition who was transported to Middlemore hospital, and one patient in a moderate condition who was transported to North Shore hospital," a Hato Hone St John spokesperson said.
Police said everyone has been accounted for following the blaze.
When fire crews arrived at the blaze, the fire was "well involved" and the two-storey house was "seriously damaged", FENZ said.
This latest fire comes a day after a blaze ripped through a three-storey villa near the Auckland Harbour Bridge on Sunday morning.
