The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is urging Kiwis to "be prepared" as a severe weather event unfolds across the motu.
MetService has issued 15 weather warnings and watches across Aotearoa as heavy rain is expected to thrash the northern and western parts of the North and South Islands.
