A pub in Dunedin has ignited in flames early on Friday morning.
A Fire and Emergency spokesperson told Newshub they were called to Mitchells Tavern in the suburb of Caversham at 3:50am where firefighters saw smoke and flames billowing from the building.
At the height of the fire, five appliances were responding to the flames, this has since been scaled back to two.
Firefighters initially feared one person had been trapped in the building but crews have since located the person and everyone has been accounted for.
The fire is being investigated and crews will remain at the scene on Friday morning dousing hot spots.
A police spokesperson said the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
