Two people have been arrested after a man was shot in Auckland last month.
On May 2, a man was moderately injured outside a property on Clutha Crescent, Clover Park.
Acting Detective Inspector Mike Hayward, of Counties Manukau CIB, said police executed search warrants on Tuesday as part of the investigation into the shooting.
"We have arrested two people as a result of today's action and they will face serious charges in court," Det Insp Hayward said in a statement.
The man and woman, aged 18 and 60, are expected in the Manukau District Court on Tuesday afternoon. Both have been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
"We hope today's arrests bring some reassurance to the community as a result," Det Insp Hayward said.
"Police do not tolerate these sorts of incidents where firearms are used in our communities, and we will investigate any offending to hold offenders accountable."
The investigation is ongoing and police said they can not rule out further charges at this point.
