The husband of a real estate agent who was last seen door-knocking in Christchurch says her disappearance is "out of character".
Yanfei Bao, 44, vanished on Thursday night sparking a search into her whereabouts.
Bao was last seen at 10:30am on Vickerys Road, Wigram. Her car, a silver Nissan Dualis, registration PKT556, was located nearby in Iroquois Place.
In a post on Facebook, Bao's husband appealed for help to find her, saying her disappearance is out of character.
"We are deeply concerned for the safety and well-being of my wife, Yanfei Bao. Our nine-year-old daughter and I are desperately seeking any information that could lead us to her whereabouts," Paul Gooch said.
Gooch said his wife was last seen going to door knocking to promote her services as a Harcourts real estate consultant.
Bao's profile on Harcourts said she has previously been a top-selling salesperson and has a Master's Degree in English Linguistics and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Business Management.
It said family is Bao's priority and she loves spending time with her young daughter.
"We have not heard from her since, and this is completely out of character for Yanfei. Our daughter and I are incredibly worried, and we kindly ask for your assistance in this difficult time," he wrote.
"Your support and vigilance mean the world to us, and we are praying for Yanfei's safe return."
On Friday morning police said they have no update on Bao.
