A prominent South Islander has been accused of sexually assaulting six girls and young women across a span of more than 20 years.
The man, who has been granted interim name suppression by a Judge earlier this week, is facing 16 charges of indecent assault of victims who were aged between nine and 17 at the time of the offending. He is not related to any of the complainants, the court documents said.
The alleged assaults took place between March 1998 and December 2021.
The man has been remanded on bail until his next appearance on August 2.
